Hello my lovelies,
I am still maintening the blog, thank you so much for your patience this week. It feels so good to have it all cleaned up and ready for the new year!
Remember there are still plenty of posts to read about. For science posts check out Bonds of Beauty (all articles here) and for lots of in-depth reviews have a look at Beauty In-depth Reviews & Ingredient Analysis (all articles here). And if you read all of my posts, what a legend! THANK YOU!
Have you thought about your new year resolutions yet? Only 4 days left!
You might be thinking, how cliché and I would agree with you. We really don’t need a new year to change something that we are unhappy about but we are human and sometimes we do need that extra little push or motivation to do so. If the new year does this for you then why not? Take full advantage of it, see it as a new start and let’s get to it!
Whatever your resolutions are you might find this helpful, check out: Coffee Chat: The new year is here, resolutions are set. Now what? 5 Tips to keep yourself on track
If your resolution is to be fitter and healthier, check out: Health benefits of exercise – An article to boost your motivation and One simple secret and 9 steps to sticking with a fitness or diet regime.
My resolution this year is to be happier. What a simple and yet complicated statement! The biggest change for me this year will be to let go of negative situations and enviroments faster, as I am very guilty to be trying until it almost kills me. Nothing wrong with not giving up or being a little stubborn, infact these are traits that you need in life, but there are some situations or people that cannot be changed. When you realise that you’ve tried your best and those things are just not for you, it’s absolutely fine to give up. In fact, it is mandatory to move on as soon as you realise that otherwise you’d reach the point where it actually impacts you.
I found myself in way too many negative situations and enviroments for a couple of years now and it has affected my mental and physical health. I am learning to tolerate less and move on faster. Life is too short!
I’m also learning to relax and meditate. Easier said than done. This one will take me a couple of years but I’m trying. As a scientist my brain is almost impossible to turn off and it gets the better of me sometimes. Nevertheless, I found yoga this year and it has helped more than I ever imagined. Check out: Coffee Chat: I’ve tried Yoga for 30 days and this is what happened.
What are your new year resolutions and have you smashed the ones last year?
I hope you have a happy New Year and a lovely time off.
Lots of Love,
Bonds of Beauty

* Important note *
Running a blog costs a lot of money. A blog is not just a site on the internet, there are bills associated with it, like for example paying for the technical aspects like the website address or tech support. Not to mention all the products that a blogger has to buy and test before finding the ones that are worth writting about or recommending. Even with a full time job, a big part of my salary is going into the blog and sometimes it feels that I’m working just to keep this blog going. There are ways of making money returns, like for example using advertisments etc but noone likes that, so please help keep this blog “clean” and going. Please use the donation button below and let me know (in the comments, by email or on my social media) if you would like the money to be used on a certain product, subject, concept etc. You can donate as little as £1 or as much as you like by changing the number in the box below. Thank you so much for your support.
